Property Awards 2017 :: Awards Nomination
Category : Proptech Company of the Year

These are property companies that are proactively using technology to disrupt the property sector. Putting technology at the heart of what they are doing, they range from online portals and estate agents through property data companies to those using cutting-edge technology that is transforming the way the industry operates. Many, but not all, will be start-ups. Some might be occupiers. They will all be entrepreneurs and disruptors who have moved the dial in the past year. Innovation is the key criterion – what everyone on the shortlist will have in common is that they have done something particularly innovative or game-changing in the past 12 months – but only those who have made significant progress in terms of progressing from the drawing board to implementation stage will be in serious contention for the overall prize.

What the judges want to see:

  • Evidence of genuine innovation in the past year
  • A robust business model
  • Creativity and vision in the way they are implementing their business plan
  • Strong financial expectations and forecasts
  • Evidence of strong engagement with the industry
  • Evidence of a strong and potentially transformative impact on the property industry
  • A summary on why you feel you should win
